Brandon Williamsmade his first start for the club at AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night and is included for the Newcastle fixture, as are Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood.
James Garnerwasn’t spotted boarding the plane but could still be part of the squad.
United head to St James’ Park having failed to win any of their last 10 away fixtures. It’s a run they will be desperate to end against the Premier League’s crisis club and Solskjaer is confident they are getting closer to that elusive three points.
“I do feel its going to come. There’s no point me talking about it. I’ll get your questions until we do win. If we don’t we’ll get this on Sunday as well, “he said.
“We are a team that can be set up well to play away from home. Sometimes you can play on the counter. [On Thursday] We didn’t really get the counter -attacks as we wanted to. “
Newcastle are desperate for a win themselves, with Steve Bruce coming under heavy pressure at St James’ Park, and Solskjaer Isn’t expecting any favors from his former teammate.
“As managers we don’t want to give anyone any favors when we play each other,” he said. “Brucey’s going to set up a team to win. I’m going to set up a team to try to win.
