The largest car manufacturer in the country,Maruti Suzukihas further expanded its product line up in the country with the launch of theS-Presso. The car is available in six variants and six color options. The new model is based on the Heartect platform which is strengthened by an impact absorbing structure. What’s good about it?

Maruti Suzuki has introduced the S-Presso in India as a Mini-SUV with a high-seating position, thereby offering a commanding driving position. Additionally, the vehicle offers easy ingress and egress for the occupants. The new model claims to offer the best-in-class turning radius of 4.5-meters and an impressive rear legroom space for the occupants. Customers looking out for an automatic option, the S-Presso offers the AGS option in both VXi and VXi variants.

What’s not so good?

Safety equipment like the passenger side airbag is standard only to the top-spec VXi . Similarly, the seatbelt pre-tensioner and force limiter to the driver and co-driver is also limited to the top-spec VXi variant. These safety features are however optional on the lower variants. The standard and the LXi variants do not get the distance-to-empty feature.

Best variant to buy?

The feature-loaded VXi variant is the ideal choice here and it is available in both manual and automatic options. Along with additional safety equipment over the standard list, the top-spec variant is the only one to get the 17. 78 cms SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system.

As for customers on a budget, the second to top VXi (O) variant is an alternative option and it is available in both manual and automatic option. The optional variant additionally offers a drive side airbag along with a seatbelt pre-tensioner and a force limiter for the driver and the co-driver. However, this variant does not get the 17. 78 cms SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment system.
