Massimiliano Allegri wants to bring two Juventus stars with him toManchester Unitedif he replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm, according to reports.
The Italian has been linked with the manager’s job at Old Trafford despite Ed Woodward recently giving Solskjaer a vote of confidence.
He has reportedly already held talks with the Old Trafford club, and is keen on taking charge before the January transfer window.
United have scored just eight in nine games this season and are in desperate need of a new striker as well as a midfielder who is familiar with the Premier League.
According to Italian publicationTuttosport,Allegri has the solution to these problems and wants to bring Mario Mandzukic and Emre Can with him to United if he gets the top job.
Mandzukic has already been linked with a move to United and has reportedly made a verbal agreement with the Red Devils to sign in January.
Can, meanwhile, would be an interesting transfer given he used to play in the English top flight for Manchester United’s bitter rivalsLiverpool.
The German wants out atJuventusafter falling down the pecking order under Maurizio Sarri, who failed to include Can in his initial Champions League squad.
Tuttosport earlier reported that Allegri is“very close” to joining United.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Ince is alarmed by the Red Devils ‘inability to hit the back of the net this season.
But Ince isn’t convinced Mandzukic is the right man for United.

“I don’t think Mandzukic is the answer,” Ince told Mirror Football. “I feel that you never get your best players in January, clubs don’t sell their best players in January, so whoever Manchester United are going to get is going to be a stop-gap.
“If they’re looking to go down the young route then the should be looking at young strikers, not Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] or Mandzukic.”
