Media Portrayed PewDiePie As A Loser To Sell His Success Story, Crypto Coins News

  • PewDiePie is the biggest solo creator on YouTube.
  • He has more than million subscribers on the platform but that was not always the case.
  • While reflecting on his career, PewDiePie mentioned that the media portrayed him as a loser to sell his success story.

PewDiePie is the king of YouTube and is the only sole YouTuber to garner more than million) subscribers. PewDiePie recently reflected on his time starting off on YouTube and talked about how the media portrayed him as a loser back in the day in order to sell him as a success story.

PewDiePie used to record himself playing games like Amnesia: The Dark Descent. His funny reactions got him a lot of attention and he quickly got plenty of subscribers. Since then he has become the biggest solo YouTuber on the platform and is still growing in terms of subscribers.

An article written in an old newspaper dated back to 2012 mentioned that PewDiewPie was an upcoming internet sensation and included the following quote from the YouTuber:

It [YouTube] has really changed my point of view in life. I was absolutely not the guy who took a bunch of chances, before.

PewDiePie contested this quote by saying that this did not sound like him at all. He mentioned that the way he has been treated by the media has changed over time. In the beginning, the media tried to portray him as a loser. The following is what he had to say regarding the matter:

I think a lot of media, in the beginning, tried to make me seem like I was a total loser and down on my luck, ’cause that sounds like a success story. So a lot of the early stuff is, ‘Yeah, you were pretty much a loser.’

In short, PewDiePie thinks the media tried to portray him as a loser so that his success story could be sold. While he is a success, I would not say that he was a loser back then, or even now. I am sure that the gaming community, content creators and fans around the world feel the same way too.

The streamer recently announced that he wastaking a break from YouTubeand the media had plenty to say about that as well.
