A warning of heavy fog has been issued by the Met Office.
The alert is in place for the whole of Sunday night into the early hours of Monday.
Six flights from Manchester Airport have already been cancelled.
Thick patches of fog shrouded the region on Sunday morning, prompting warnings from police over potentially treacherous driving conditions.
The fog lifted into the early afternoon, but the new warning has now been issued.
And Met Office forecasters have warned there’s a chance more flights could be disrupted, with possible delays to rail and bus travel across Greater Manchester.
“Fog patches may cause travel delays,” they said.

“What to expect – slower journey” times with delays to bus and train services possible.
“There is a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.”
The Met Office has also published advice for traveling in fog, warning: “Fog can drift rapidly and is often patchy.
“Warnings of dense fog are issued when visibility is expected to fall below 200 meters.
“Severe disruption to transport occurs when the visibility falls below (meters).
The Met Office warning is coded as ‘yellow’, meaning people should ‘be aware’ of the situation.
The alert is in force across all parts of Greater Manchester and the north west including Liverpool.
