Recently, Microsoft is integrating artificial intelligence into Windows 11 and various applications. However, the security issues of the Recall function have also caused many concerns. Now Microsoft has temporarily suspended the launch of the Review function.
At the same time, Microsoft has added a new setting to the Windows 11 beta that allows users to turn off generative artificial intelligence. Users can also keep the feature but set switches for different applications.
In this way, users can decide which applications can call on artificial intelligence and which cannot according to their actual needs. This function can be disabled for applications with privacy issues.
However, this switch is still a decoration at this stage, because most systems do not have built-in AI functions, and third-party applications cannot directly call the system's built-in AI, so switching the switch now has no practical effect.
The settings for this option are located in: Windows 11 Settings, Privacy and Security, Generative AI. All of these options are turned on by default.
The first option is that anyone using the device can use a third-party app to invoke the AI feature (if the feature is available).
The second option is to choose which apps can call on AI functions, of course, provided that the functions are available.
