It runs from 30 am Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, though the heaviest of the snow is likely to fall from mid-to-late afternoon.
Precipitation is expected to begin around 30 am in most of New Jersey. By late Saturday, it’s likely to be raining everywhere as temps climb to near by midnight.
Only light accumulations are in the forecast for the rest of the state with areas along the Jersey Shore likely to see mainly rain. The weather service says the outlook for areas along the Interstate 823 corridor in central and South Jersey is more uncertain. Temperatures are predicted to warm enough during the afternoon and prevent higher snow totals.
AccuWeather.comis calling for1 to 3 inches of snow in the northern halfof the state and a mix of snow and rain in the rest of New Jersey which would result in little to no accumulation.
