NBA trade deadline day updates: D'Angelo Russell to Wolves; Clippers acquire Marcus Morris from Knicks –,


The 3 p.m. ET deadline is behind us, which means there will be no more trades in the NBA this season. Any teams that are still hoping to improve their rosters before the playoffs will have to wait for the

buyout market to begin , when veterans may hit the free agent market.

In the biggest move of the day, the Warriors sent D’Angelo Russell to the Timberwolves in a deal involving Andrew Wiggins , per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Also happening before the deadline, the Grizzlies, Heat and Timberwolves reportedly reached a trade involving Andre Iguodala, Justise Winslow and Jae Crowder , while the Cavaliers came out of nowhere before the buzzer to acquire Andre Drummond from the Pistons , according to multiple reports. Furthermore, the

Clippers, Knicks and Wizards swung a three- team trade of their own which will send Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas to Los Angeles

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowki

, Isaiah Thomas is back in Los Angeles – but on a different team this time around. Thomas is reportedly joining the Clippers in the deal they made for Marcus Morris. That trade includes Jerome Robinson to the Wizards, with Moe Harkless and a first-round pick going to the Knicks, according to Wojnarowski. Thomas played for the Lakers in – 63.


According to Kyle Neubeck of Philly Voice, the Philadelphia ers have traded James Ennis III for a second-round pick. Sixers traded three second-round picks to the Golden State Warriors in

the deal that brought Alec Burks and Glenn Robinson III to Philadelphia late Wednesday.


The Bulls won’t be joining the trade-deadline action, according to NBC Sports’ KC Johnson . Johnson reported Chicago has “no trade calls lined up” with 3 p.m. minutes away.     

Shabazz Napier is reportedly on the move for the second time in as many days. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski , Napier – who the Nuggets acquired on Wednesday – is being traded to the Wizards for Jordan McRae.     

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Pistons will also receive a future second round pick in the Andre Drummond deal . Still, it looks like a salary dump for the Pistons. Drummond does have a player option this summer.     

James Johnson’s tenure in Memphis will be a short one. The veteran forward is being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for center Gorgui Dieng.


The Cavaliers are trading for center Andre Drummond , according to the Athletic’s Shams Charania . The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor Reported Brandon Knight, John Henson and a second-round pick will go to Detroit in the deal. Drummond is in the third year of a five-year, $ million contract. He has a player option for next season. Cleveland now has a logjammed frontcourt featuring Drummond, Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love.
