New Rumors Heighten Fears Sony Will Delay Ghost of Tsushima, Crypto Coins News

Two well-known industry leakers recently hinted at a possible delay to an unnamed first-party Sony title that fans fear could beGhost of Tsushima. The rumor comes from Daniel Ahmad and Jason Schreier, two gaming insiders who’ve reliably leaked valuable information in the past.

Rumors Swirls About Unnamed Sony First-Party Title

Theoriginal tweetcame from Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad at around 10: 50 am UTC:

Initial responses ranged between optimistic and concerned. Some fans speculated about a possible delay, or even a brand-new game being announced.

It didn’t take long for Schreier, an editor at Kotaku, to get dragged into the conversation, making acoy jokeabout game delays.

While likely just a sarcastic retort, Schreier has been responsible for some pretty big leaks in the past.

Back in 2013, Schreier uncovered leaked documents surrounding thethen-secret Fallout 4. He also reported on leaks forAssassin’s Creed Syndicate, leading both Bethesda and Ubisoft to blacklist Kotaku.

It is not unreasonable to assume Schreier has an inside track on any new announcements and may be making a sly joke about them before they can officially be made.

Radio Silence Makes Ghost of Tsushima an Unfortunate Candidate

Speculation has swirled about which Sony title Ahmad was referencing, with The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima ranking as the popular candidates.

Both games were recently featured in possible leaks of cross-generation compatibility, but there are several reasons why Ghost of Tsushima is more likely to be delayed.

News on Ghost of Tsushima has been relatively sparse lately. | Source:Sony

While The Last of Us: Part II has been enjoying asubstantial marketing pushover the past few months, information about Ghost of Tsushima has been notoriously sparse.

We’ve seen new trailers for The Last of Us: Part II as recently as last month, but Sony hasn’t unveiled any new Ghost of Tsushima material since the official teaser was released at E3.

With the next generation consoles coming soon, it’s entirely possible that Ghost of Tsushima may be pushed back to become a PS5 launch title – especially considering thealleged PlayStation 5leaks from 4chan which made the rounds recently.
