One person has been killed and ten others injured in a knife attack at a shopping mall in Finland today.
A body was found at a school housed in the shopping center in Kuopio and several other people were taken to hospital while
At least two people are seriously injured and the alleged attacker is one of those in hospital .
Witnesses told Finnish media that the attacker was a pupil at the vocational school.

One told MTV that the pupil had dug out a ‘sword’ and ‘stabbed as many as he could’.
Police said they had fired a weapon to arrest the suspect, but did not say whether they shot him.
Authorities said there was no apparent danger to outsiders and the situation has now ended.
‘Officers used firearms during the situation. Police have detained one perpetrator. The injured have been evacuated, ‘East Finland Police said.
The conditions of the wounded, including the attacker, were not immediately available and police have not provided a possible motive.
A major incident alarm was raised at the nearby Kuopio University Hospital, according to the college.

Prime Minister Antti Rinne tweeted that the violence was ‘shocking and totally condemnable.’
Finland’s interior minister Maria Ohisalo said the events were ‘shocking’ and offered ‘condolences to the victims and relatives’.
Finland has seen two deadly school attacks in the past 12 years. In 2007, a student at the Jokela High School shot eight people dead before killing himself.
In 2008, a 22 – year- old student at a vocational school in Kauhajoki shot 10 dead before committing suicide.
Kuopio is a city around 200 miles north of Helsinki.
