A few days ago, OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 7T in India and the phone earned a good review from us. Coming in as the successor to the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7T is an improvement over the OnePlus 7 that’s closer to the OnePlus 7 Pro in many aspects. And that left OnePlus fans wondering as to what will the OnePlus 7T Pro offer. Or will there be any OnePlus 7T Pro in the first place? Turns out there will be one and its launching this week in the UK.
Previous leaks and rumors have already given us a fair idea of what to expect and the recent batch of leaks only make it clear as what to expect from the new and updated model. The leaked renders of the phone and its cases reaffirm that the OnePlus 7T Pro will look identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro, save for the repositioned sensors for the rear camera. And it will mostly by a mild update to the OnePlus 7 Pro in terms of specifications.
OnePlus 7T Pro: What’s new with its design
If the leaks are to believed, the OnePlus 7T Pro is essentially an update to the OnePlus 7 Pro if the design is considered. The OnePlus 7T Pro looks identical to the OnePlus 7 Pro in the leaked renders and to casual users, these two phones may look the same. However, the OnePlus 7T Pro has slight design changes that possibly hint at a better camera performance.
The front appears to retain the 6. 65 – inch Quad HD Optic AMOLED display with curved edges and no notch, which means the pop-up selfie camera stays as well. At the back, the triple camera design is similar to the one on the OnePlus 7 Pro, albeit for two new sensors mounted to the side of the camera module. The renders also show a slightly different shade of the blue color that we saw on the OnePlus 7 Pro.

Even the official cases for the OnePlus 7T Pro have leaked and even these are similar to the cases we saw for the older phone. There’s a Carbon case with the carbon fiber pattern whereas the Sandstone case and Fiber case.
OnePlus 7T Pro: What’s new on the inside
Inside, there isn’t going to be a major change. Similar to the OnePlus 7T, the OnePlus 7T Pro will get the updated Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, which should deliver even faster gaming performance. The leaks have suggested a bigger 4080 mAh battery with the faster Warp Charge 30 T technology. Rest of the phone is expected to be similar to the OnePlus 7 Pro.
That means the highly capable triple rear camera setup from the OnePlus 7 Pro is coming back. We could expect the 48 – megapixel main camera wit support OIS and EIS to make an appearance along with the 16 – megapixel wide-angle camera and the 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Chances are that the Macro mode from the OnePlus 7T could make it to the Pro model as well. On top of that, the OnePlus 7T Pro could also feature 960 fps slow-motion video recording.

The OnePlus 7T Pro is coming to India as HDFC Bank’s offer page revealed it last week. And it’s going to launch in India on the same day as its UK launch, i.e. October 10. And there are good chances that OnePlus will continue to sell the OnePlus 7 Pro alongside the OnePlus 7T Pro.
And that means the OnePlus 7T Pro could carry a higher price than the OnePlus 7 Pro. Hence, the base version of the OnePlus 7T Pro could start from Rs 50, 000 or higher. And if the rumored McLaren Edition is coming, then expect an even higher price for that variant.
