PIERS Morgan missed a second episode of Good Morning Britain today as he continues to battle an illness at home – but tested negative for coronavirus.
The – year-old GMB star revealed this weekend he was having a Covid – test on the advice of his doctor after suffering mild symptoms .

Ben stepped in for Piers again this morning
Yesterday evening, his fans were relieved when the test came back negative – but he still did not return to our screens this morning.
Instead, Ben Shephard
stepped in to present the show alongside Piers ‘usual co-host Susanna Reid
again.
Susanna shared Piers’ health update with viewers as the breakfast show kicked off, with Dr. Hilary Jones also adding his relief as he said that the star will be “back before we know it”.
Ben joked that he couldn’t wait for Piers to no longer need him to fill in, joking that he is adding “more and more make-up to try and hide the bags” from his early starts.
Last night, Piers told fans: “UPDATE: My COVID – (test was negative.)
“I was advised to take the test by my doctor after developing possible coronavirus symptoms, and was entitled to do so as a Govt-designated essential worker.
“I’ll be back on @GMB as soon as my doctor advises I’m OK to return to work.”
Lord Alan Sugar previously reignited his feud with the GMB presenter by questioning why he was able to get a test so quickly.

Piers qualifies for access to a coronavirus test as his role as a journalist makes him a key worker – but it is not known if he had one via the NHS or paid to be privately tested.
