She is one of the most iconic performers in history who has sold more than 160 m records.

And Janet Jackson took a break from her hectic schedule as she made a surprise appearance at the 2019 (Pride of BritainAwards at the Grosvenor House Hotel inLondonon Monday.

The All For You singer, 53, looked chic in a slouchy black top paired with a three-quarter-length coat and joggers as she posed up a storm.

The star boosted her height with black stiletto boots and accessorised with chunky gold chains and bracelets.

Her auburn curls were worn over one shoulder while fluttery lashes and berry lipstick adorned her youthful visage.

Back in August Janet Jackson said it was challenging juggling life in the spotlight with raising son Eissa Al Mana, two in a candid interview withStellar Magazine.

‘It is hard being a working mother. I don’t have a nanny, I do it all myself, ‘the 53 – year-old told the publication.

‘Of course, when I’m working someone watches him, but it’s my baby and me,’ Janet added.

The five-time Grammy Award-winner, who shares Eissa with ex-husband, Qatari billionaire Wissam Al Mana, went on to tell Stellar that fame isn’t for everybody .

‘You really have to be thick-skinned for this. You can really go in the wrong direction, there’s so much temptation, all kinds of crazy things. ‘

More than 100 of the UK’s biggest stars came together at the Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards to honor the nation’s unsung heroes on the landmark 20 th anniversary of the event.

The awards recognize and celebrate ordinary people up and down the country doing extraordinary things.

Hosted by Carol Vorderman, celebrities and public figures including Prince Charles, Robert Downey Jr, Sir Ben Kingsley, Dua Lipa , Ant & Dec, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Adam Lambert, Christine Lampard, Sir Michael Caine, Jonathan Ross, Suranne Jones, and the judges and casts of Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor will be honoring this year awe-inspiring winners.

Carol Vorderman said: ‘Pride of Britain is such a huge part of my life, it’s hard to believe it’s 20 years since we first started. In that time, it has found a place at the heart of British life, and the winners represent the very best of us. I never fail to be humbled by them, and this year are no different. ‘

The Daily Mirror Pride of Britain Awards, in partnership with TSB, will be broadcast on ITV on 5th November at 8pm.
