The couple has been garnering bad press no matter what they do, but it hit an all-time high in August when the royal couple took a series of private flights that seemed to directlycontradicttheir stance on environmental protection issues.

Following their historically bad press coverage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seemingly refocused their actions and gotten to work on a new mission – their highly-anticipatedtrip to Africa. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry aren’t on vacation

The royal couple have been anticipating their Africa trip for some time. They both have a special connection to the continent, with Prince Harry even claiming that it felt like a “second home” to him. The trip is even more special for them considering it is a family venture – their baby son, Archie Harrison, is joining them on the trip.

Even though Prince Harry and Meghan Markle justlanded in Africaon September 23 rd, they have already gotten to work, and in doing so, they have managed to send a clear message to all the haters – they are there strictly for work.

According to someroyal aides, this message is deliberate, and that Prince Harry and Markle want people to understand that “this is not a holiday.” Sources reveal that while they are in Africa, they want to meet with as many different people as possible and make as much of a difference as they can in the short time that they are there. Their agenda is certainly packed with engagements.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s day planner is full to the brim of official engagements in Africa – 86 of them, to be precise. The same royal sources who spoke out disproving the notion that the trip is for fun rather than business have said that the couple plans to do some serious work on the ground, mainly at the community level. A few of the engagements that they have on their schedule include a special meeting with Nelson Mandela’s widow, visits to Botswana and Malawi, and many serious lectures planned.

No one is sure to what extent baby Archie will be at any of these events, but it would certainly be good press for the couple – and these days, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle need all the positive publicity that they can get.

Could the public view Meghan Markle and Prince Harry differently after the trip?

Although the Africa trip has been planned for a while, it could fit nicely into a reconstruction of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s public image. Seeing the couple work on the ground with various organizations could be a good way for the public to start to see them in a different light. Plus, if new photos and videos of Archie Harrison are released, it could garner sympathy from royal fans that are hungry to see more of the infant.
