Dubai: April 24 will mark the beginning of Ramadan, “astronomically”, it was announced on Monday.

Ibrahim Al-Jarwan, Member of the Arab union for astronomy and Space sciences, says fasting hours will be less than 15 hours. The first days of Ramadan will be the shortest periods of fasting and will reach to 14 hours and 25 minutes, while the longest period of fasting will be on the last day of the holy month, which will reach to 14 hours and 57 minutes.
