Schoolboy charged with attempted murder after teenager shot in street – Liverpool Echo, Liverpoolecho.co.uk

A – year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a teenager was shot in the stomach in Prescot .

The – year-old victim was rushed to hospital after a passer -by found him bleeding in the street in Station Road, on the evening of January .

Merseyside Police confirmed that although the victim’s injuries were extremely serious, they were not life-threatening.

The schoolboy, who cannot be named, also faces charges of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a knife, and wounding with intent to cause GBH, all relating to the same date and location.

The boy, from the Dovecot area, is the fourth teenager to face the courts over the incident after a – year-old boy from Prescot, and – – year-old and 17 – year-old boys, both from Huyton, were charged with the same offences four days after the shooting.

He is due before Liverpool Youth Court this morning.

Detective Inspector Sabi Kaur from, Merseyside Police’s Firearms Investigation Team, said: “I want the people responsible for firearms discharges in Merseyside to know that there is no place to hide. We will come and find you.
