A murderer who stabbed a man to death as a schoolboy has recorded a video from behind bars urging teenagers not to carry knives in what is believed to be a first in Britain.
Sadam Essakhil was 15 when he when he fatally stabbed Lukasz Furmanek, 24, in a street attack in Handsworth, Birmingham, in May 2015 in what police described as a “sudden, shocking and brutal ”murder.
He and a friend, Abdullah Atiqzoy, then 18, were jailed for life and ordered to serve a minimum of 19 years for the “chilling and senseless” attack, which happened after they decided to carry knives believing they were needed for their own protection.
