Many people say we should focus on small achievable goals rather than directly save the world. The problem with that approach is that there are hundreds of projects doing achievable goals and they never save the world. Currently this is the only project we know that addresses the problem ofcentralizationin a way that is truly meaningful in terms ofprivacyand designed to salvage a free society into the world of technology – should society decide to outlaw centralization of social data and therefore make something like secushare the only viable path.

To paraphrase Cory Doctorow, there are many fights more important than how the Internet is regulated, except the Internet is how every other political fight will be won or lost.
