“But I was rude to an idiot.”Brilliant.
Here’s an Opta stat to worry Spurs fans.

Here are our ratings for Spurs today…Made a couple of good saves but was completely left in no-man’s land by Danny Ings’ strike.
His movement, control and maturity is already impressive – had a tough time of it with Cedric, Armstrong and Ings running into his space, but dealt with everything well.
Did not do much wrong and is reliable, but was given one heck of a run out by Redmond and Ings, much like Sessegnon outside him.
The Belgian was put on his backside by Danny Ings’ brilliant piece of skill that inspired the winning goal.
Also lucky not to concede a penalty for hand ball, which was not awarded by VAR.
His overhit cross in the last minute summed his afternoon up.
Poor performance from a player who has lots of experience, but hasn’t been doing the job for Spurs – surely a replacement needs lining up.
Was unlucky to pick up a groin injury early on, forcing Jose Mourinho to shuffle the pack.
It ruined the double pivot the Portuguese had set up in midfield.
One of Spurs’ better players, which is not saying much.
Also one of the few players who raised his work rate to that of Southampton.
Still not back to his best under Mourinho. Misplaced passes and getting tackled easily isn’t an ideal way to perform for a new manger.
Struggled to get into the game for large parts of it.
His late late on was blocked and summed up a frustrating afternoon for the Brazilian.
Seemed to want to argue with half the Southampton side and the referee. We need to see more from the Englishman, who seems a picture of frustration at the moment.
Completely anonymous for large parts of the first half, was well marshalled by Jan Bednarek and Stephens.
His second-half goal was ruled out for offside before he hobbled off with a hamstring injury.
Did OK after coming on for Tanguy Ndombele after (minutes.)
Found it hard to find space around Pierre-Emile Hjobjerg, who dominated the midfield and it still feels like he is settling into life in the Premier League.
************** Lamela 5Not much time to make an impact, but the patterns of play certainly did not get any better after he came on.******************************Alex Terrell(******************************
