A stunning trial of lights have been spotted in the sky above Plymouth tonight – but fear not aliens are not about to land on The Hoe.
Several readers have been in contact with sighting of a the dots of lights seen on Sunday evening.
But what are they?
Although it cannot be confirmed at this point it Is believed the sighting is that of a Satellite ‘train’, launched last November by billionaire Elon Musk.
Starlink satellite constellation is part of Elon Musk’s ambitious SpaceX project.
The technology entrepreneur wants to put an initial , satellites in low-Earth or bit at (km,) km and 1, (km) to provide worldwide internet access.
Each satellite is said to be the size of a table and includes a reflective solar panel for power.
Aaron Barrett sent the image take from Seaton below, adding: “We just spotted the perfect line of Elon Musks spacex satellites from Plymouth covering the whole sky in a perfect line apparently there is 90 of them “
