Strictly Come Dancing producers have a plan to beat the coronavirus pandemic and ensure the show continues this year .
There were worries that the popular dance competition would have to be pulled from the schedule as social distancing and self-isolation continues during the COVID – outbreak.
Strictly bosses are planning to combat that by isolating the professional dancers with their celebrity partners for months, and have no audience in the room when they show off their sharp moves.
This is despite fears that it will only feed the Strictly curse, in which a number of celebs and their dance partners have hooked up at the expense of their current relationships.
While this has been described as an ’emergency backup plan’, Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse has said that this is working well on the German version, which she is currently filming.
As the series had launched a month before lockdown restrictions were in place, the producers had to make swift decisions to keep the show on the road.
Speaking about how it has worked, Motsi said: “The couples are all together. We do not have an audience, we cut in applause. “

The Sun : “Strictly is so up in the air at the moment – but it is also important to the Beeb for plans not to be put in place.
“The stars would be put into isolation with their pro partners over a week before the start of the series to avoid any risks of illness.”
The plan would involve the pairing staying together so that they could train as a couple and have minimal contact with anyone else.
The source continued: “The Strictly curse is something bosses want to avoid every year because they want it to remain a family show – but it’s a risk they’re willing to take.”
With Strictly being one of the biggest shows on TV, Auntie Beeb is planning to do what it takes to make sure that it continues this year.
