Neighbors in the area of Wimborne Close, Huyton , heard around five gunshots shortly before 9pm on Monday before emergency services were called to the scene.
Armed police and paramedics flooded the street before discovering gunshot damage to a house.

The young victim was rushed to hospital as people in the area spoke out about the attack.
One man said that the noise of the gunshots rang through the entire street.
He said: “It was five huge bangs, like fireworks, but everyone must have heard it because lights went on in a few of the houses and some people were at the windows.
“When police started arriving I walked out into the garden and some other came outside. Everyone in the street must’ve heard it, it was very loud. ”
Another woman added:“ It’s actually disgusting. I’m so fed up of it now.
“They are going to kill somebody one day and then everyone loses.
