Peter Weber’stime as theBachelormay have just begun but it’s already been filled with emotion. Weber is one of the only bachelors to ever have to go through a traumatic breakup at the beginning of his season. Most leads are at least a few episodes in before they get their hearts broken. But with the return ofHannah Brown, Weber was faced with closing a chapter in his past before moving on with his journey to find love.

In the end, Weber chose to give his all to being the Bachelor and shut the door on Brown for now. But just because Weber is invested in the process, doesn’t mean that he gets a happy ending.

Peter Weber and Hannah Brown’s reunion

Weber first met Brown on her season ofThe Bachelorette. He fell for her quickly, but unfortunately, she chose Jed Wyatt in the end. Once things didn’t work out with Wyatt, Brown tried to go out with her runner-up Tyler Cameron. And when that didn’t go to plan, Brown showed up on Weber’s season to wish him good luck and return the miniature wings that he had given her while she was the Bachelorette.

But when the two saw each other, all of those old feelings came rushing back.

“Even though that convo was not planned, it needed to happen and the hardest part for me was just struggling with the fact that I knew I had amazing women that just showed up,” Weber told reportersat ABC’s TCA presentation. “I still didn’t have any feelings yet for anyone. It was too soon to really have any legit connection. So it was awkward, it was uncomfortable, but it needed to happen. And I was very lucky that the women were understanding. So, had to happen. ”

When Weber saw Brown, he couldn’t deny how he felt about her, but ultimately the timing still wasn’t right.

“You can’t live in the past, it is what it is and I have no hard feelings for her, he told

Entertainment Tonight.“I know she was always following her heart and doing the best she could, and I’m OK with that.”

“What you saw there was feelings just kind of resurfacing and it was real and I was, I felt obviously horrible doing that to the women that were there on the date just out of respect for them, but I had to be true to myself and I was and everything I said I meant, ”he said.

Peter Weber’s ending

Now that the drama with Brown is on pause, ABC has been showing a clip of the ending of Weber’s season. Apparently, on the day of his proposal, Weber finds out some shocking news.

“It’s a very dramatic start, as they say, but it always is!” Host Chris Harrison toldUs Weeklyof Weber’s ending. “You look at Colton Underwood’s season and that was crazy for how it went down. Hannah Brown’s season was crazy, in a totally different way. Now Peter Weber’s season is unpredictable and riveting in another way and we don’t see it coming. It’s something that the producers didn’t know about, it’s something Peter and I didn’t know about. ”

“Inevitably, something happens we’ve never dealt with before,” he continued. “It’s gut-wrenching.”
