Residents in Hull were left gobsmacked on Sunday evening as they witnessed a trail of dazzling lights flying through the sky.

And if you missed them the wondrous sight is likely to appear again over the next few days.

Although the mysterious lights had some concerned over a possible alien invasion, the clusters are in actual fact a satellite formation known as Starlink.

The satellites are used across the globe to provide remote locations with low-cast internet and are the latest to be launched by entrepreneur Elon Musk’s company – SpaceX.

Comprised of thousands of tiny satellites the formations look like stars moving across the night sky – like a train.

And they could well become a relatively common sight in the skies above the UK in the futu re as SpaceX have been granted , satellites as part of the project – a number which could eventually increase to ,
