EXPRESS.CO.UK readers have savaged the Supreme Court’a ruling that Boris Johnson’s move to prorogue Parliament unlawful.

In a poll that saw 16, 413 take part, 86 percent of participants expressed outrage at the ruling that threw Mr Johnson’s Brexit plans into the unknown yet again. Express.co.uk readers were asked the question: “Was the Supreme Court right to rule the Government’s prorogation was unlawful?” A total of 14, 0 86 readers disagreed with the ruling, while just 13 percent said they did agree the court was right to declare Mr Johnson’s actions illegal, a total of 2, 139 people.

Up to 188 said they ‘didn’t know’, which amounted to 1 percent of the ballot.

Comments from readers widely reflected the result of the poll.

One commenter said: “Who has the power !? People with money! It’s destroyed all my faith in democracy. ”

Another said:“ From today Britain has confirmed it is an Administration and not a Democracy. ”

A third commenter said: “ There will be a general election and the people will show their anger. ”

A fourth said:“ Unelected judges thwart the will of the people and criminal MPs won’t allow us our right to vote.

“It’s as bad as that and looks like the Bilderberg Group types and NWO elite people have got their way. Once again money and business decides.

“RIP UK democracy as plainly obvious it’s been killed.”

Another said: “Proving once again just how little control the people have over the establishment who are meant to be working for us, after all it is the people that employ them and pay the ir wages. ”

An a sixth added:“ Our Parliament has become a house of horrors! Our judiciary corrupt! More akin to the murder of democracy upon the orient express, each hand upon the blade in quick succession, their combined guilt assuring silence. ”

A panel of 11 justices at the Supreme Court in London ruled unanimously that the Prime Minister’s advice to the Queen to suspend Parliament until October 14 was unlawful because it had the effect of frustrating Parliament.

The ruling is a bitter humiliation for the Prime Minister, who was in New York for the United Nations General Assembly when the verdict was

The Tory leader said he “strongly disagrees” with the Supreme Court decision but Parliament “will come back”.

Speaking from the American city, Mr Johnson said: “Obviously this is a verdict that we will respect and we respect the judicial process.

“I have to say that I strongly disagree with what the justices have found. I don’t think that it’s right but we will go ahead and of course parliament will come back. ”

In light of the judgement, Speaker John Bercow said the Commons will resume on Wednesday morning.

He said: “The citizens of the UK are entitled to expect that Parliament does discharge its core functions, that it is in a position to scrutinise the executive, to hold ministers to account and to legislate if it chooses.”

The shock decision has led scores of **** attendees to dash back to Westminster.
