According to Nicholl, Queen Elizabeth and Duchess Kate took a while to warm up to each other because they are bothvery shy. Nicholl shared: “Both women are actually quite shy so it’s taken time for them to get to this stage, but they have a very easy relationship now they’ve both made the effort.”

One thing Duchess Kate does to get on Queen Elizabeth’s good side is to put her family first. Middleton has three children and lets the queen be involved in their lives as much as possible, such as bringing them to Sandringham to spend Christmas with the queen and the rest of the family.
