Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have some cute moments together onThe Voice. But they also were going up against each other as competitors.
The other coaches,Kelly Clarksonand John Legend are also giving him a hard time on the show. Stefani shared a video of all them and Shelton gets called clingy. Find out why and other ways the coaches have been teasing him.
Gwen Stefani told the coaches to be mean to Blake Shelton
The Voiceis back after Adam Levine quit the show. The original coach became close to Shelton over the years. Eventually, they had a playful feud where they just exchanged insults.
This season the rest of the coaches have been giving Shelton a hard time. However, Stefani said he still gets lonely.
“Don’t you feel like you need to be meaner a little bit because he’s starting to get lonely for Adam?”Stefani asked Clarkson and Legendin front of Shelton in an episode. “Do you feel withdrawal?” John Legend asked the country singer.
“I’m having like a… what is it when the person gets separated from their kidnapper?” Asked Shelton. “Stockholm Syndrome,” Legend said back.
“I’m having Stockholm Syndrome,” Shelton joked. “If you guys could be not playful like cut to being overweight. Just go for it, really go for it! ”
The coaches plan to have an alliance against him in season 18
Stefani will be leaving the show next season and Nick Jonas is taking her place. Clarkson and Legend plan to take him into an alliance against the original coach.
“Our mission is to destroy Blake Shelton,”Legend told Jonasin a video. “We have to form an alliance. Me, you, Kelly. ”Jonas seemed to be happy with that plan since Shelton already made fun of him for his age.
“Just to be clear, Blake, I’m going to kick your a **” he said onThe Ellen DeGeneres Show.He also noted that he’s had a career for 20 years now.
The teasing of Shelton is hardly over. Stefani just shared a video where the coaches have an awkward moment with him.
She posted a video of Shelton being ‘clingy’ on Instagram
Stefani posted a video on her Instagram with the rest of the cast. Clarkson is seen in her trailer having a video chat with Stefani. “What’s up, Gwen? I just want to call and say hey! ”Says Clarkson. Stefani mentioned them having “play dates” together before the season and being happy they’re back working together.
Clarkson then adds Legend to the call. “I feel like I’m totally bonding with you guys. This is awesome. It’s just magic to be back, ”said Stefani. Shelton interrupts her to ask who she is bonding with and the other coaches aren’t feeling it.
They all leave the call and the video ends with Clarkson saying, “He’s so clingy.” Stefani captioned the video post with, “That awkward moment when… gx @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton #TheVoice.”
Fans are loving the video. One commented with, “Oh my goodness too funny love you guys.” Another wrote, “That’s cold blooded lol.”
It looks like Shelton is still the odd man out. Fans will have to wait and see if he’ll come out on top with a win this season.
