The United States will delay plans to introduce additional tariffs on $ 250 billion of Chinese goods in a “gesture of goodwill” before the latest round of trade talks begins.
President Trump said that the 5 per cent duty, which was scheduled for October 1, would be pushed back for two weeks at the request of the Chinese vice-premier because the date coincided with the 70 th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
