Twitch Founders Badge Helps Streamers Make More Money, Crypto Coins News

Live streaming site Twitch rolls out a feature called “Founders Badge” as a new way to help streamers make money. This is the second major revenue announcement that Twitch has made this quarter, as itchanged the way that Twitch ads work.

OnTwitter, Twitch announced the Founders Badge which is a badge that will be given to the first 10 or 25 subscribers to a channel. All subscription tiers can get the Founders Badge.

The feature will only be available to subscribers of Affiliate and Partner channels, though as onestreamer became an Affiliate by streaming their pet rock, it probably won’t be difficult for streamers to unlock it.

The streaming platform has typically used badges as a way to make viewers loyal to a channel. Other badges that may show up next to a user’s name in the chat arebadges for cheering using Twitch Bits, badges for being a subscriber of any number, and for being a member of Twitch Prime . Founders Badges are less about loyalty and are more about revenue and helping streamers make money for themselves and for Twitch.

It may be easy for morepopular streamers such as Dr Disrespectto get subscribers, but it can be difficult for smaller streamers to get just one subscriber. The Founders Badge could help those smaller streamers get subscriber revenue and turn those followers into paid viewers and paid Twitch users.

The Founders’ badges have only been available for a few days, but the response has been good. One Twitter user said that it was “a way to bring“ First! ”Back into cultural relevance” and others said that the feature was cool.
