TWO women have been rushed to hospital after a double stabbing on the outskirts of Wigan.

Cops were called to Hindley’s Atherton Road after the broad daylight attack this morning.

One of the women was rushed to hospital by air ambulance with “serious injuries”.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Police are continuing their inquiries after an incident in Hindley this morning.

“One woman, who is believed to be in her 43 ‘s, is receiving treatment in hospital for serious injuries and another woman, who is also believed to be in her ‘s, has been discharged from hospital after sustaining minor injuries.

“Police aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
