- The coronavirus will probably kill up to , Americans, White House advisor Dr. Fauci warns.
- This comes as plans to quarantine the New York tri-state area fall through.
- Infected New Yorkers are spreading the virus all over the country, despite efforts from state governors.
The coronavirus has already infected , (Americans and killed 2, 627. But this is only the beginning. According to Dr. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the virus will eventually kill 300, , 06 in the United States alone. His remarks come as efforts to lock down the New York tri-state area fall through.
Despite the best efforts of the Trump administration, the United States will not be able to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
This is because America does not have the same level of authoritarian control as the Chinese Communist Party.
Unlike China, the US can’t forcibly quarantine asymptomatic citizens
to prevent them from spreading the disease. The federal government also can’t prevent travel through hard-hit states like New York. Infected residents are therefore allowed to flood the rest of the country with the deadly disease.

With people still passing through New York’s airports and countless others leaving the city though cars and buses, it’s only a matter of time before the entire country is saturated with coronavirus.
In an attempt to avert the catastrophe, the Trump administration floated the idea of quarantine on residents living in the New York tri-state area (which includes New Jersey and Connecticut). But due to widespread pushback, the White House instead opted for a strongly-worded travel advisory that is already being ignored.
New York residents – many of whom are already infected – continue to spread the coronavirus all over the country.
State Governors Brace for a Deluge of Infected New Yorkers
All across the country, state governors see the writing on the wall. They are trying desperately to stem the flood of New York refugees – even turning to aggressive tactics that many would label ‘racist’ if they were imposed on Chinese nationals instead of American citizens.
In Rhode Island, Governor Gina Raimondo is sending state police to, in the words of Bloomberg.com, “hunt down” New Yorkers seeking refuge in her state. Troopers are reportedly stopping cars with New York license plates and teaming up with the National Guard to conduct Gestapo-like house-to-house searches
to check out potentially-infected New York refugees and order them to quarantine.
Florida, with its elderly population, is in particular danger . Its governor, Ron DeSantis, is making it clear that New York refugees are not welcome in the Sunshine State. Desantis calls the air travellers “reckless” and blames them for the surge in cases in his state.
It’s Already Too Late to Stop the Coronavirus Explosion
Despite their best efforts, state governors will not be able to stop the constant flood of potentially-infected people from entering their borders. Now it’s New York and New Jersey. Tomorrow, it could be New Orleans, Louisiana or Atlanta, Georgia.
According to Dr. Fauci’s models, the coronavirus could eventually kill , (to , Americans . And this isn’t even his worst-case scenario. But with the government unwilling and, perhaps, unable to take drastic steps to break the chain of transmission, this may be the price we pay for our freedom. It has never been cheap.
