- These are the people that will make the 6-month-long lockdown necessary.
We’re only going to get through this coronavirus pandemic by working together. Some people haven’t gotten the message.
A recent survey from OnePoll reveals that
% of Brits are still not self-isolating.
Over half of that % gave their reasons for not isolating as ‘other.’ A third identified as essential workers. That means that 1 of 8 people are just flat out refusing to comply with the lockdown.
It’s no wonder we’re looking at a 6-month lockdown.
Flattening the curve has become a popular beacon of hope during the coronavirus pandemic. It refers to a graph that shows the level of infection against the preparedness of a country health care system.
It’s that 1 in 8 people who are going to stop us flattening the curve. Those same folks who are talking about it ‘just being the flu,’ or saying it’s a government conspiracy to control you, are going to be the ones that extend the lockdown for another six months .
Seriously, Stay at Home
Yes, the coronavirus pandemic is a real and severe threat. No, it is not like the flu. You need to stay home as much as possible, wash your hands, and for the love of god, do not hold or attend large meet-ups.
Thousands of People are dying from this plague. By failing to take it seriously, you are doing those people a massive disservice. There are people literally giving up treatment to try and save others.
You can clap for the NHS all you want . But, until you start taking the threat of coronavirus seriously, you might as well not bother. You’re doing more harm then you are good.
