MET OFFICE weather warnings have been issued for parts of the UK with a “small chance” of “danger to life from flying debris ”As Britain braces for a wet and windy Saturday.
The yellow warnings are in place for the south and east of England as well as South Wales and parts of eastern Scotland. Meteorologist Alex Deakin gave the Saturday morning Met Office forecast. He explained the rain will be “especially heavy across the southwest and the northeast.
“That will linger into Sunday as well, it’s all from an area of low pressure swinging in through the early hours of Saturday morning. ”
Strong winds are expected to transfer across England and Wales from the south.
A weather front “lingering across the northeast” will “provide persistent rain” according to Mr Deakin.
“Gusts of 50, 60, around coasts maybe 70 miles an hour in some exposed areas ”have also been foreca st.

Mr Deakin added these winds would “certainly cause some travel disruption” with Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight being particularly badly hit.
He continued: “We’ve got the band of rain swinging across the south and lingering across parts of southwest England and Wales into the afternoon.”
There is the potential for flooding across the far northeast.
It is forecast to be bright and dry across south Scotland, north England and Northern Ireland on Saturday morning, despite the bleak picture.

Parts of southern England could brighten up in the afternoon.
Mr Deakin says the temperatures are could reach the teens but averages will be lower around (C) F) or (C) 51 .8F).
The winds are expected to ease off on Sunday but are expected to be still noticeable, particularly in north Scotland .
The temperatures are expected to be similar.
