Unai Emery refused to answer any questions on Mesut Ozil’s continued absence from theArsenalfirst-team.
The German star was left out for a fifth consecutive game as Nicolas Pepe rescued three points against Vitoria SC with two late free kicks.
But it was the Gunners’ highest earner who dominated the agenda after the game, despite a third win from three in Group F.

‘Tonight is not the day to speak about that,’ Emery said afterwards.
‘ I prefer to speak about the match. We have all the players who played. He’s not in the squad. That is the decision tonight. Now we are going to work towards Sunday. ‘

He last played in the Carabao Cup third-round victory over Nottingham Forest.
