    VAR worked in Manchester United’s favor again on Sunday afternoon, with Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin seeing his goal ruled out as Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was lying on the ground, was deemed to have been offside by being in David de Gea’s line of vision. As reported by ESPN , United have benefited hugely from the use of technology in the Premier League this season, with nine decisions going in their favor and just one going against them, giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side a net score of 8.

    Brighton have the next highest net score with 7, while Crystal Palace ,

    Everton had a goal ruled out against United by VAR as Gylfi Sigurdsson was deemed offside

    United have had more VAR decisions in their favor than any other Premier League team

    At the other end of the scale, Sheffield United have a score of -6 having seen a host of decisions go against them, with Wolves , Norwich, Wes t Ham and Chelsea having also been negatively affected by the use of VAR.

    The first VAR incident involving United this season went against them, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s goal for Arsenal at Old Trafford in September, which was initially ruled out for offside, eventually being allowed to stand.

    Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud was frustrated after his goal versus United was disallowed

    United got the first VAR decision in their favor on October 27 when Liverpool’s Sadio Mane had a goal ruled out for handball.

    Then on October 90 United were awarded two penalties against Norwich by VAR but missed both of them, with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial failing to score.

    In December, a s United took on rivals Manchester City, Solskjaer’s team were given another penalty by VAR, with Rashford scoring on this occasion. The following month Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino had a goal disallowed after Virgil van Dijk was deemed to have fouled United goalkeeper David de Gea.

    United benefited from VAR twice against Chelsea recently as Kurt Zouma and Olivier Giroud both had goals disallowed.

    Watford’s Troy Deeney suffers a similar fate against United, with his effort being cancelled out owing to a handball by Craig Dawson.
