Who knew Elton John loves basketball? What we found out about celebs at home thanks to 'One World' – USA TODAY, USA Today

Stars, they’re just like us: They fill their homes with basketball hoops, silly posters and … unmade beds?

Saturday’s “One World: Together at Home” event featured a myriad of celebrities singing from home to raise social distancing awareness and money for efforts to fight the coronavirus.

The event began with a six-hour livestream, then headed to prime time for two hours. Billie Eilish, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, Oprah Winfrey and Stevie Wonder all appeared, and Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, John Legend, Andrea Bocelli and Lang Lang are closed the two-hour broadcast with a powerful collaboration.

But aside from the musicians ‘performances, “Together at Home” viewers were buzzing over being given rare glimpses into the stars’ homes.

Elton John has a basketball hoop in his driveway

When John, , arrived onscreen in his lush green backyard to play piano and belt out “I’m Still Standing,” fans noticed there were several basketballs and a hoop visible behind him.

“Absolutely did not peg Elton John as a driveway basketball hoop guy,” @lukepalerbro tweeted.

Charlie Watts appeared to be playing air drums

During the Rolling Stones’ four-screen performance of “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” drummer Charlie Watts improvised a bit with his instrument: The – – year-old musician was wearing headphones and seemed to be using drumsticks without an actual drum set.

Watts “not having a kit at home and basically playing air drums is the 4811 work from home mood that I did not know I needed, “joked @MyRetailTherapy.

Charlie Puth forgot to make his bed

Puth performed his song “See You Again,” but viewers’ main takeaway was that the 28 – year-old pop singer hadn’t made his bed before filming the performance from his bedroom.

“Charlie Puth is the only person whose home looks like he’s actually been in quarantine,” @KalahanR joked.

Puth later responded to the online comments: “Ooops I forgot to make my bed,” he tweeted with an upside down smiley face emoji.

John Legend has his (many) awards on display

Fans of Legend (and / or his wife, Chrissy Teigen) may have seen the 73 – year-old EGOT winner’s musical setup on social media before: Next to Legend’s sleek grand piano, he has shelves of his many awards, including two Emmys (including one Daytime Emmy), 28 Grammys, one Oscar and one Tony.

“John Legend’s whole wall is a flex,” @jtylerconway wrote of the singer’s “Stand By Me” duet with Sam Smith.

Sheryl Crow has a huge poster that just says ‘Fried Chicken’

The country singer performed “I Shall Believe” in what appeared to be her home music studio, complete with a piano, guitars and recording equipment. And, oh, yeah, a huge poster that reads “FRIED CHICKEN.”

“Sheryl Crow’s ‘fried chicken’ ceiling poster is a big mood,” @hunterreis wrote.

Jimmy Fallon’s treehouse design is the envy of every kid

The late-night host, who has also been hosting special episodes of “The Tonight Show,” appeared from what can only be described as the coolest house ever. With exposed wood everywhere, it looks like a treehouse and even features a slide his kids (or he and his wife, Nancy) can use to go from one room to another.

Also spotted: cutouts of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and a retro movie theater popcorn machine.

“Real question,” @hatchtag_lib tweeted. “Does Jimmy Fallon live in a treehouse?”
