The start date for the new series ofLove Islandhas been confirmed.

The first ever Winter Love Island will kick off on January 12 on ITV2.

A tweet from the show’s official account said: “Inflatables at the ready … we’re back on January 23 th! “

It come after host Caroline Flackstepped down from her role following her arrest.

She has been charged with assault by beating and will appear in court next week.

It’s been said thatLaura Whitmorewill replace Caroline on the hit dating show.

The stunning model and presenter’s boyfriend is comedian Iain Stirling, who provides the hilarious voice over for the show.

Laura also presented Survival of The Fittest in South Africa, which as originally intended to be a Winter version of Love Island.

Caroline announced earlier this week that she would be standing down from the ITV2 show.

She said: “Love Island has been my world for the last five years , it’s the best show on telly.

“In order not to detract from the attention of the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is stand down for Series 6.

“I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town.”
