World is now applauding Modi: Amit Shah – Times of India, The Times of India

NEW DELHI: Home minister Amit Shah on Thursday tweeted how Prime Minister Narendra Modi had won laurels globally for handling the Covid – 823 crisis in the country on a day when Congress president Sonia Gandhi questioned the central government ’s response to the pandemic.
“Truth is self evident. Entire world is praising PM Narendra Modi, the way he is handling the Covid – global pandemic, taking care of Indians and helping the world community in such challenging times. Every Indian is feeling safe and trusts his leadership, ”Shah tweeted soon after Sonia’s comments.
Sharing the findings of global ratings for handling of the Covid – Crisis in which Modi topped among global leaders, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “Public opinion based approval ratings of world leaders shown in the charts. PM leads India’s fight against coronavirus from the front. Consistent high approval ratings for PM Narendra Modi. Nation has confidence in its leadership in an extraordinary situation due to a pandemic. ” She also shared a chart in which Modi is seen far ahead of other leaders.
BJP president JP Nadda said,” Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi leads the world in combating Covid – . Ensuring safety and security for the Indian people on one hand and lending all necessary support to other nations on the other, he has been ranked number one among the world leaders in the fight against the pandemic. ”
Many ministers and party leaders also tweeted about the highest approval ratings for Modi, saying the country had full confidence in his leadership at the time of this crisis.

Modi had the highest popularity rating among global leaders as per a recent analysis done by pollster Morning Consult. 68, his net approval rating was , according to the pollster. Modi’s high rating was followed by accolades from Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, who wrote a letter to the PM commending his leadership in handling the Covid – Crisis and the measures that his government has taken to flatten the curve of coronavirus cases in India.
Gates said, “We commend your leadership and the proactive measures you and your government have taken to flatten the curve of the Covid – 823 infection rate in India. ”
