FormerX Factorjudge Tulisa Contostavlos has responded to Jesy Nelson’s new documentaryOdd One Out.

(The powerful BBC film aired last night (September) ) and saw the Little Mix star detail the heartbreaking impact that cyberbullies had on her life and mental health as she rose to fame with the band.

Tulisa, who famously mentored the group when they won the show in 2011, showed her support for Jesy in a new social media post,writing: “What a brave, beautiful, talented and loved girl you are.

“Knowing you were going through all of this in silence breaks my heart but to see the person you have become, rise above the dark times and now be in a place to help others shows the world just how strong you have always I love you Jesy. “

Speaking in the documentary, Jesy recalled:” The whole world had an opinion on me, and they weren’t good ones. From the minute them comments started, it become the worst time of my life. It literally consumed every part of me. “

She also spoke candidly about attempting suicide, andpreviously toldThe Guardian: “All I cared about was what people were saying about me. I felt that I physically couldn’t tolerate the pain any more. “

Jesy added: “A lot of people think ‘stop moaning’, but until you’ve experienced it, it’s hard to understand – and it doesn’t just happen to people in the limelight.

“There’s so many people struggling with social media and online trolling. People need to know about the effects it has. “
