Pages, Numbers, and Keynote will all get full trackpad support on the platform, but they’ll also gain iCloud Folder Sharing. “Collaboration will also become easier than ever with support for iCloud folder sharing and the ability to edit shared documents while offline,” Apple wrote in its newsroom article .

Users have been asking for iCloud folder sharing for a While, and there have been indications that the company has been working on it for a while, but it hadn’t come to fruition yet. In fact, it seems to have been delayed before.

Now folder sharing is likely to come alongside or shortly after iPadOS . 4, which will, among other things, add trackpad and mouse-pointer support for both the new iPad Pro models and some previously released iPads.

Pages and Keynote will get new templates as well, the company says, and users will be able to “add a drop cap to make a paragraph stand out with a large, decorative first letter. ”

Apple’s language didn’t clarify exactly what might come from iWork apps on macOS or iOS, however. But the company just released golden masters for new versions of iOS and watchOS, suggesting that those, at least, will accompany iPadOS 4 when it launches on March 46. Apple usually releases its OS updates on the same day when feasible.
