The regional competition aims to actively respond to the national demand for cyberspace security talents, accelerate the pace of cultivating innovative talents with both offensive and defensive capabilities, and achieve competition-driven learning, teaching, and application, thereby promoting the ecological system of cyberspace security talent cultivation and industry-university-research-application. The regional competition adopts the AWD PLUS competition system, which comprehensively assesses the attack and defense technical capabilities and real-time strategy of the participating teams. Each participating team is the attacker and defender of each other, fully reflecting the practical, real-time, and confrontational nature of the competition, and comprehensively considering the penetration and defense capabilities of the participating teams.

In addition, the regional competition focuses on network security knowledge and skills such as Web security and binary vulnerability mining, and focuses on the contestants' mastery of related abilities such as SQL injection, command execution, deserialization vulnerabilities, code auditing issues in languages ​​such as Php, Asp, Java, Python, Go, penetration testing, and Linux binary vulnerability mining and exploitation techniques.

The closing ceremony of the regional competition invited Sun Qihua, director of the “Double Reduction” Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and director of the Jiangsu Provincial Education Informatization Center, and Min Jinzhong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, to deliver speeches. In recent years, the Provincial Department of Education has conscientiously implemented the “Opinions on Strengthening the Construction of Cybersecurity Disciplines and Talent Cultivation” issued by the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission and other six ministries and commissions, further promoted the colleges and universities in our province to strengthen the cultivation of cybersecurity talents, promoted the in-depth development of cybersecurity education, and actively guided colleges and universities to add cybersecurity-related disciplines, and achieved remarkable results in the cultivation of cybersecurity talents.

The launch of this competition not only provides a practical platform for network security for the participating students, but also builds a platform for discovering and exchanging talents.
