On-off attempts to save Wrightbus have borne fruit and staved off the liquidators.
The family owners ofWrightbus, the Ballymena-based builder of what became known as the Boris bus – a not totally functioning modern iteration of the Routemaster for the London market – have agreed terms withJo Bamford, son of Lord Bamford, the JCB diggers billionaire. There was no immediate news yesterday on how many of the 1, 200 jobs at Wrightbus have been saved.
