The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced the new rapid coronavirus test will only be offered to those with a pre-booked appointment.

The decision, announced late Wednesday, has been taken due to high demand for the laser-based DPI screening technique.

The emirate’s laser testing facility had tobe closed while an online booking system was established.

Pre-booked appointments can be made here.

The committee pointed out that travellers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test are allowed to enter the emirate within 48 hours from receiving the result.
