COVID-19: Abu Dhabi suspends rental evictions, arrests, bank account blocking for two months

Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday instructed the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department to cease the implementation of any evictions arising from rental cases, any new restriction or issuance of executive procedures such as arrest, detention and freeze on bank accounts, cars, stocks and real estate for a period of two months from its date.

The decision excludes alimony and executive labour cases.

Sheikh Mohamed’s initiative aims to ease the burden on all segments of society and support the community in light of the current situation.
