European Accessibility Act: D. Lgs. 82 del 2022

Claudio Nasti of Chantecler informed me that Legislative Decree 82 of 2022, transposing the European Accessibility Act (European Directive 882 of 2019), was approved some time ago, with accessibility requirements for products and services.

This Legislative Decree extends the provisions of the Stanca Law (L. 4 of 2004) to various products and services. These products and services must therefore ensure accessibility to people with disabilities.

An important point, in my opinion, concerns e-commerce sites. In fact, these too must comply with the legislation from 28 June 2025. However, if I understand correctly, for sites that are already active, compliance must be ensured from 28 June 2030.

However, the services and products that must comply with the legislation must be analysed.
