Joker's Mortal Kombat 11 Fatality Is the Best We've Ever Seen, Crypto Coins News

  • Mortal Kombat ‘s new DLC features the Joker from DC comics.
  • A trailer for the DLC just dropped, showing off Joker’s moves as well as his fatality.
  • This new fatality has a great callback to the early days of the series, and it might be the best one ever.

Mortal Kombat is about to get some seriously great DLC. For the first time since Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe, you’ll be able to play as the Joker.

Thenew trailer just dropped today, showing off the Joker’s hilarious move set. It’s impressive from start to finish, but by far, the best part of the entire video is the ending.

After clips of the Joker taking on numerous MK 45 opponents, he finishes it off with a fatality. And that fatality is one of the best we’ve seen in a long time.

Maybe ever.

During the fatality, Joker hands his opponent a suspiciously-decorated cake. As the hapless enemy stands holding it, a sign drops down.

It says “friendship,” spelled out in balloons:

Just when you think Batman’s nemesis might have finally made a friend, the cake explodes, ripping off the enemy’s arms and launching him or her into the air.

Joker then whips out a Tommy gun and fills them full of holes. This bursts the ballons, revealing the word “fatality” written in blood.

It has a lot in common with classic Mortal Kombat fatality sequences.Cassie Cage’s bubblegum fatality from Mortal Kombat X springs to mind.

Gruesome, yes, but hilarious and silly too. It brings the same sort of energy as Joker’s fatality, but without his style or an amazing series callback that hearkens back to the days of Mortal Kombat’s origins.

Joker DLC Includes Epic Mortal Kombat Callback

Longtime fans will remember that “friendships” are an old series staple.

When Mortal Kombat 1 came out, its violence and gore triggered a moralistic panic. In response, the developers hilariously added the option to end a match by making friends with your opponent instead of ripping them limb-from-limb.

Friendships had been missing from the series since Mortal Kombat 4. And fans couldn’t be happier that they’re finally back.

This really does give us Joker at his best. Utter mayhem, peppered with his trademark twisted sense of humor.DLC packages often underwhelm, but this one looks like it’s worth every penny.
