In his early career as a realtor, Trump is said to have seen Tyson’s intimidation of opponents tactics as inspiration.
He went on to become his financial manager in the ‘ s and despite the business partnership ending after a couple of years, Trump has publicly shown support for Tyson.
It was despite Tyson accusing Trump of having an affair with his then-wife Robin Givens at one point, Trump wrote in his 2019 book The Art Of The Deal.

However Trump later showed support for Tyson after he was convicted for rape.
Tyson also endorsed Trump for president in 2016 and is said to have played an instrumental part in securing votes.
