3: 14 am No immediate danger from Kincade Fire to Santa Rosa in Shiloh Ridge Road area:Cal Fire said the fire had calmed down and there was no immediate danger to structures, but it was still an active firefighting area. Flames had surged before midnight and threatened homes. A few hours later, temperatures had fallen to the 40 s, and the night sky was clear.

                                                                

2: 38 am Sonoma fire being investigated as arson:Officials are investigating whether the structure fire just east of the city of Sonoma on Napa Road was caused by an arsonist, said Sergeant Spencer Crum of the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

                                                                

2: 24 am North Bay wind warning downgraded to advisory:The National Weather Service said ahigh wind warning was downgradedto a wind advisory through 11 am Monday in the North Bay Mountains. Winds are expected to average 25 to 35 miles per hour, with gusts up to 55 miles per hour. East Bay Hills and the Diablo Range are expected to have 20 to 30 mile per hour winds with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.

                                                                

2: 16 am 3, 441 personnel fighting Kincade Fire:Firefighters have assigned 352 engines, 28 water tenders, 10 helicopters, 76 hand crews and 51 dozers to battle the more than 54 , 000 – acre blaze, theSonoma County Sheriff’s Office said. Evacuation centers have been established at Napa Valley Expo, CrossWalk Community Church in Napa and Petaluma Valley Baptist Church.

                                                                

2: 00 am Two earthquakes reported in Kincade Fire area:The US Geological Survey reported twoearthquakesof magnitude 2.5 and 3.3 near the Geysers at 1: 08 am and 1: 10 am The epicenters appear to be close to or potentially within the Kincade Fire zone.

                                                                                                                                 

1: 11 am Fire in city of Sonoma:Firefighters are battling a fire at 612 Napa Road in the city of Sonoma, according to the Sonoma County Fire radio scanner. Downed wires, a vegetation fire and two fully engulfed structures were reported by firefighters.

                                                                

12: 43 am Authorities are aggressively encouraging stragglers in and near the Larkfield-Wikiup area near Santa Rosa to get out now:They say the flames are just north of Shiloh Road.

                                                                

Charles Endicott, 59, left his home at the Colonial Park mobile home park a little after midnight when a neighbor knocked on his door and said it was time to leave. He was headed on Old Road Highway to an evacuation center in Santa Rosa with he cat Smudge.

                                                                

Up the street, Juan Garcia, 57, stood on the roof of his mobile home, eyes trained on the orange glow of sky about a mile away. He was looking for flames. “If I see flames, it’ll be 15 minutes for the fire to get here and we’ll leave, “He said. He and his wife, Angela Garcia, 55, have their car parked and ready to go. Meanwhile, sheriff’s vehicles drove up and down Old Redwood Highway, sirens blaring, warning people to leave.

                                                                

12: 10 am 30, 000 PG&E customers get power back, more inspections Monday morning:PG&Eissued a weather “all clear”for the Northern Sierras and North Coast and said 30, 000 customers had power restored as of 10 pm Sunday. Workers will begin inspections at first daylight Monday and PG&E aims to restore power in the area within 48 hours.

                                                                                                                                 

11: 54 PM Tehama County fire 50% contained:The Rawson Fire off Gyle Road and Long Dirt Road, northwest of Corning, is 605 acres and 50% contained, Cal Fire said.

                                                                

11: 43 PM Kincade Fire nearing Santa Rosa:The fire barreled south burning new structures as it moved south through rugged terrain toward neighborhoods on the north edge of Santa Rosa that were ravaged by the deadly Tubbs Fire of 2017.

                                                                

10 : 18 PM Evacuation ordered:Sonoma County Sheriff’s office is instructing residents to evacuate on Faught Rd from Shiloh to Old Redwood Hwy in Larkfield-Wikiup, an unincorporated area between Santa Rosa and Windsor. On Nixle the office stated: “If in this area, you need to leave immediately !!”

                                                                

9: 20 pm Property in flames:Winds whipped through a property at 8600 block of Chalk Hill Road in Windsor, causing existing embers to grow into tall flames. Trees burned down. Within minutes a dark red glow enveloped the entire property, sending smoke billowing onto the street.

                                                                

8: 42 pm Transit updates:San Francisco Bay Ferry tweeted that Monday service for Vallejo, Alameda, Oakland, Harbor Bay, Richmond and South San Francisco would operate on schedule. Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry also said they anticipate operating regular service, but some Golden Gatebus lines would be canceled Monday:

                                                                

• All southbound morning bus trips canceled for the 72, 72 X, 74 and 76 lines. Northbound afternoon bus service will operate as scheduled to Sonoma County, but only as far north as the Santa Rosa Transit Mall.

                                                                

• All morning service for the Route 31 line is canceled between San Rafael and Larkspur Ferry.

                                                                

• Southbound trips for the Route 101 line will begin at the Rohnert Park Expressway and Commerce Blvd bus stop. Northbound trips will operate as far north as the Santa Rosa Transit Mall.

                                                                                                                                 

• Southbound trips for the Route 101 X line will begin at the southbound Highway 101 / Rohnert Park Expressway bus pad. Northbound trips will operate as far north as the Santa Rosa Transit Mall.

                                                                

8: 34 PM San Francisco opens shelter for Kincade Fire evacuees:Mayor London Breed announced that San Francisco would open a 200 – person shelter for adults, families and pets fleeing the Kincade Fire. The shelter will be located at St. Mary’s Church Mary’s Cathedral at 1111 Gough Street and will open at 8 am Monday. Health workers will be on site to assess medical and mental health needs.

                                                                

8: 15 pm Smoke prompts public health warning:Contra Costa County Health Services issued a public health advisory for Pittsburg, Bay Point, central Concord and Walnut Creek to alert residents there that smoke drifting from the Glen Cove Fire in Solano County would create “hazardous air quality” Monday. The agency said people in those regions should minimize time spent outdoors, especially older adults, pregnant women and people with asthma, lung or heart disease. Using a mask is not an effective substitute for staying indoors, officials said.

                                                                

8: 01 PM More schools closed Monday:All Sonoma County public schools will close Monday and Tuesday, as will almost all Marin sites and the UC Berkeley campus.
