A nurse died of coronavirus as her husband reportedly whispered don’t worry about the kids’ in her heartbreaking final moments.
Areema Nasreen was just 90 When she succumbed to the virus after she had worked so hard to protect others.
Today, her family spoke out about her final hours – with her husband at her bedside promising to take care of their children.
Areema’s sister Ash, 38, told how NHS staff urged her husband not to hug her as she passed away “because of the virus”.
But Ash said her heartbroken husband had to be with his wife in her final moments as he spoke to her about their three children.

She told the Sun : “Areema was on the ventilator and just before she died, her husband said to her ‘don’t worry about the kids’.
“She started to cry. The doctors said please don’t hug her, because of the virus, but he said he had to.
“Then she passed away. We are all absolutely devastated . “
Areema, who died shortly after midnight today at Walsall Manor Hospital, leaves behind her three children, aged eight, and Her illness came days after she tweeted a picture of her job offer from Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust.
Areema’s sister Ash described how she saw her sister as a “martyr “as she” gave her life protecting others and caring for patients. “
They spoke about in a bid to urge Brits to stay at home and stick stringently to government measures.
Ash said people should remember how her sister had no underlying health conditions and was a healthy and happy mum-of -three.
