Open source password manager Bitwarden for Android/iOS new version released with new interface and smooth experience

#Software News The open source password manager Bitwarden has finally launched a new version of the iOS/Android client, which is redeveloped based on modern languages and has a new interface and smooth experience. It is currently being tested in Beta. Interested users can obtain the beta version through TestFlight and Google Play. Beta version address: https://ourl.co/104563

In March, the well-known password manager Bitwarden revealed that it would completely abandon the use of Microsoft Xamarin frameworkre-using the modern development language of iOS and Android systems to develop the mobile terminal. This time it is not a reconstruction, but a complete rewrite.

Eight years ago, in order to save time and cost, Bitwarden chose the Xamarin framework so that it could cover both Android and iOS systems, but as time went on, Microsoft itself abandoned the old version of the Xamarin framework.

Bitwarden is constrained by this framework and is unable to quickly launch new features and experiences, so that the experience of Bitwarden's mobile terminals has been very poor over the years, and the interface is still relatively retro.

After several months of development, Bitwarden announced today that the new Android and iOS versions have begun testing. Interested users can now download the Beta version to experience it in advance. Of course, it would be even better if you find any problems and provide feedback in a timely manner.

The new version features cutting-edge technology, enhanced application performance, and native hardware features such as biometrics and multi-device support. Of course, the most important thing is that not only the interface is brand new, but the overall fluency has also been greatly improved.

Bitwarden will gradually release new versions in the future. Here is the planned schedule:

Phase 1: Release Bitwarden for iOS/Android Beta for public testing

Phase 2: Bitwarden Mobile supports Passkey function

Phase 3: Release of Bitwarden for iOS/Android

Phase 4: Continued functional updates and maintenance, including UI updates
